I’m Allison Burns, a branding and graphic designer specializing in crafting thoughtful and inspired visual identities for small businesses that speak to their values and shine a light on their mission. I’m also the creator of Design Spirit, a self-paced graphic design course that helps small business owners learn the design fundamentals and confidently create more beautiful and strategic marketing visuals that connect with their audience.

After professionally designing for nearly a decade, I have found my purpose not only in creating clean, minimal designs that effortlessly fit my clients, but also in educating them (and all entrepreneurs!) on how to easily implement their visual brand into their marketing strategy.

3 Shifts to Create More Polished + Professional Graphics

In this workshop, I teach small business owners three strategies to help them instantly transform and professionalize their marketing graphics and collateral pieces. They’ll walk away with improved design and layout skills, as well as actionable and strategic design techniques that they can start using right away to support their marketing goals. Students will also learn how to create marketing visuals with more ease and ultimately feel more confident in the designs they create -- for their own business and for work they do for their clients!

It’s important to me that workshop students can learn these skills in an approachable and fun way. So I share lots of visual examples and simple tips, making it easy for students to directly apply what they learn to their marketing materials and designs! I also offer a Q&A at the end, allowing students to dig deeper and ask questions.
