Brand Reveal: WildTree Studio

I'm not sure I could be more excited about WildTree Studio's new visual brand. Working with Lorinda (owner and creator of all the gorgeousness) was a dream and from our first lunch date to discuss our project, I knew this brand was going to be special. I'm thrilled to finally show it off and reveal it to the world!

WildTree Studio is a brand new creative business that sells beautiful quilts and other handmade items for babies, home and gifts. Lorinda always uses high quality fabrics and enjoys handcrafting items with modern design, fun patterns and bold colors. Along with a branding design, we also were setting out to create packaging pieces and web essentials for her Etsy shop. So during the design process, it was important to keep all these applications in mind - both web and print - so the brand would be versatile and could remain consistent across all mediums.

WildTree Studio's Mood Board

From the first look at Lorinda's Branding Inspiration Board on Pinterest (completed during the second step of my branding process), the direction the brand would take was clear. She had collected such a beautiful array of images and inspiration - all pointing toward a handmade, nature inspired feel with modern flair.  The Mood Board got us both very excited about where we were headed and truly served as inspiration throughout the design process.

The final logo design Lorinda chose just seems to have "it." It reflects her initial vision for the brand - clean, contemporary, nature themed with an earthy yet energetic color palette. The whimsical feel of the typography and design elements tie in well with the business name and the colorful fabric Lorinda loves and often uses in her work. The use of the patterns and multi-colored leaf element give the brand a patchwork, handmade look without taking away from the modern simplicity we were going for. Take a look!

There are so many things I love about this visual brand. But I do always find myself attracted to submarks and WildTree's are no exception. There are so many ways to use them - from product tags to business cards, or maybe even a stamp! Submarks, in addition to patterns and design elements, add depth to a brand. When this brand is out livin' it up and helping Lorinda's business grow, these extra elements will work together, compliment the logo and keep her audiences interested with the variety they offer.

I also love how polished and lovely the logo and branding elements look within WildTree's business card design and product card (which will sent with a personal note from Lorinda along with every order). They are professional and modern, yet burst with the idea that these items were made with love.

WildTree's Etsy shop is in-progress, with an expected launch of late fall/early winter 2015. I will update this post with a link once it's live! You will adore Lorinda's work and, trust me, you will want to run and tell your friends to check out her shop. Until then, I will wait patiently and enjoy the beautiful brand we created together. The future is bright for WildTree!

UPDATE: WildTree Studio's Etsy Shop is now open! Check it out.
